Located at 7604 Linda Vista Rd in the heart of San Diego, K Sandwiches stands out as a beloved sandwich shop specializing in authentic Vietnamese flavors with a modern twist. Known primarily for its exceptional bánh mì offerings, this local gem delivers a vibrant culinary experience steeped in freshness and bold flavors.
The crown jewel on their menu is undoubtedly the Pork Combo Bánh Mì, a symphony of savory marinated pork, crisp jalapeños, and a perfectly toasted baguette that boasts an irresistibly light crunch and fluffy interior. Longtime patron Jeff Scott praises the consistently fresh baguettes and the true-to-tradition pork bánh mì, mentioning that the jalapeño kick adds a welcome heat that elevates the sandwich into an unforgettable bite. For fans of variety, the Grilled Beef Bánh Mì and Honey Mayo Shrimp Croissant offer equally indulgent choices, showcasing K Sandwiches’ dedication to combining authentic Vietnamese ingredients with delicate baking skills.
Beyond sandwiches, K Sandwiches offers a tempting array of bakery items that have garnered a dedicated following. Allison Rivera enthusiastically highlights the fresh, flaky baked goods—especially the chocolate croissants and the innovative K Special Breakfast Croissant, which melds buttery pastry and savory fillings into a perfect breakfast treat. The bakery’s clever offerings, such as discounted croissant bags and sandwich bread ends, not only ensure zero waste but also provide remarkable value to customers seeking quality at a budget-friendly price.
The drink selection here adds another dimension to the sensory delight K Sandwiches promises. Their boba teas—ranging from the creamy Taro Milk Tea with Boba to the refreshingly tangy Soursop Smoothie—deliver just the right balance of sweetness and texture, though some like Allison find the sweetness on the intense side, particularly in the coffee lineup. Signature beverages like the Thai Iced Tea and Cafe Sua Da offer rich, aromatic experiences that perfectly complement the savory food menu.

Whether you’re a seasoned local or a curious traveler, this sandwich shop delivers more than food—it delivers a heartfelt taste of San Diego’s vibrant multicultural food scene.
I’ve been visiting this K sandwich location over many years even throughout the fires and reconstruction and remodel. They’ve always consistently had really good ban mi sandwiches. I always get the number nine $9 which is the pork ban mi with jalapeño the baguettes are very fresh. Staff is always friendly and professional and their prices are super reasonable. They have a good bakery selection as well and croissants.
Great bahn mi, grilled pork is delicious. Huge portion for the price point too. Love this place.
I do love the sandwiches. The drinks are in the sweet side for me. So probably won't get the coffee is for now. I love love love the baked good. Especially with how fresh everything is. They also do have the option of buying a $5 usd croissant bags with 4 random day old croissants, and on a blue moon they sell the ends of the sandwich bread for $1.50 usd. Both are great deals. The baked area is a bit cramped. So here's the warning if you have a stroller or have arent going in the area alone.
pretty good sandwiches for the price, as they are a bit bigger than most around and they do live up to peoples recommendations. the place is clean and service is good as well.
The place is so strange but people love it. It was entertaining. They made every order except mine and then lost the ticket and couldn't understand what I was telling them. I was like I work for doordash. Finally they had a meeting of the minds and made my order
Great Banh mi sandwiches plus delicious bakery, unique snacks and drinks. We had the chicken and pork sandwiches, pineapple drink (with jelly) and guava cheese pastry. All were delicious.
